No seriously this thing is amazing, it's the first plasma lighter I've ever used. Seconds, of course, the bigger the item, the longer it takes for it to light up, but it's so cool how it works by simply flipping a switch! The build quality is solid, aluminum, metal and a nice spot when you activate it. It also has an off switch that not only helps stop passive battery discharge, but also acts as a safety mechanism so it can't trip accidentally. Storage or transportation, very thoughtful! However, there's a reason I chose this option over the other options, and that's the USB-C port! This is currently the only USB-C plasma lighter you can buy that I know of. I've searched and searched Amazon and all the others I could find were Micro USB. As for the battery, I think it's top notch! Even though I've only used it for 2 days the battery still has 4 bars not that charging would be an issue although as I said it's USB-C and I could literally take any USB-C cable I have and charge it on. I noticed that the charger type is a bit picky. So be sure to read the instructions for the type of charger you can and cannot connect. Now about dubious things. They offered an extended warranty if I registered the product, which I think sounds great. but I'd rather not. You see, I've had bad experiences every time I've registered something for an extended warranty. I usually get spam with marketing emails or phone calls after registering, which is not normal or cool at all. Now it could be that the seller/manufacturer is sincere and offers a guarantee because they want you to be happy if something happens to the product they are selling you, however due to the questionable nature of how other sellers on Amazon do I have to advise caution here. I personally declined the extended warranty offer because I think the product is well made and shouldn't fail anytime soon. Overall I am very happy with this plasma lighter and may buy another one in the future because it is so convenient and much easier to use than fiddling with butane or refilling liquid based lighters.
