Review on 🌑️ Enhance Your Atmosphere with Yahboom Intelligent Temperature Programmable Light (Quiet) by Robert Cole

Revainrating 5 out of 5

With new codes and a quick mod, it's worth it

Honestly, I like this fan. The fan is nice and quiet, the LEDs are bright and the OLED screen works as advertised. The only real issues I had was that the instructions are pretty difficult to follow. It requires some knowledge to get certain features from them. So I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who is just starting out unless programming is your goal. and when you try to switch colors/effects the board sometimes shows the wrong color/effect or turns the light off altogether. If you've had a Pi for a long time and are good at programming, or you're just looking for a good introduction, then this fan is for you. I would also like to add that this hat and the Raspberry Pi 3b+ fit perfectly in the c4 labs zebra case with the tall hat extension kit and an open top of sorts. They have some with wild raspberries, get the big one. Edit: After receiving the board and trying to code it as best I can, I can say that the programming and tutorials provided require desperate attention. "Effects" other than breath and water light are almost the same effects. You can set it to a single color of any color with the right RGB code. if i wanted to say neon green (57,255,20) in the water or breathe? this will not happen in the current form. It wouldn't hurt them to add a script to turn off the light at will. It can work with Retropy, just not easy. You need to start the fan manually by pasting the start.sh script into the Retropie menu and pressing Ctrl+C to return to it. I deducted a star simply because it is difficult to get this product to work. If they update the programming and/or manual I will not update my review. slightly easier to program, but there are the same limitations. Without definitions of what the codes do or even what wire controls the LED or color etc. it only gets easier to run your scripts and just a little bit easier to implement your own code. Until things are clarified a bit more I'll have to keep it at 3 stars because it's not that easy to program even with python code Converted python to python3. Replaced the fan on it with a 5V Noctua, placed it over the ice tower's flat heatsink and stuffed it into a custom c4labs case with 56 other LEDs. Yahboom's RGB fan hat was well worth the investment, and as you can see. Picture 1, the hat keeps him nice and cool. And in photo 2 the light is very bright.
