The set exceeded all my expectations in terms of learning the basic concepts of electronics. The parts are easy to use and understand and the exercises are well chosen. There are a few brief notes, but nothing that detracts from the value. The "connecting pieces" are available in two lengths, each with metal loops at the end. The circuits are completed by placing two plugs on top of each other and screwing them together. There is an electric screwdriver for this task, and that is the first disadvantage. The screwdriver is undertorque and for a secure connection I would recommend hand tightening after using the tool. Sample circuits are placed on template cards with assembly plans and holes for connectors. Each of them becomes more complex and introduces a new element. However, there may be more information. The instruction booklet contains descriptions of the "missions" and gives you a rough idea of what to expect. However, it is certainly helpful for a knowledgeable adult to understand "why" the circuit works. For parents - exercises for children, they are really useful. I could also see them being used in a class/group.
