This is a cheap decent little low tech vise. The bottom line is that you need to pick the right mission. This isn't the best vise for anything that requires a very tight grip (like trying to open a bottle of dried paint). But it's good for a subject you can photograph in a lightbox (e.g. a flower). Or something small (an egg or a 1:32 scale model airplane) that you want to draw. It is very portable due to its size and weight. You can wall mount it with a vacuum vise (although I've found vacuum vise unreliable). If you have a purpose/mission to match the limited work this vise can do then you will be very happy with this - great combination of small size, light weight, low cost and performance. If you're looking for a general purpose vise that typically does what most vises do, you probably won't be satisfied with this one. The product is well made for what it is supposed to do. But if you try to hold on to something heavy or something that requires a lot of pressure, you will be very unhappy.
