I installed this switch in my car as a clutch release switch. My previous truck had a similar button that overrides the "clutch to start" requirement, which I really liked and used it every time I started it. So I just connected this switch to the connector above the clutch in parallel with the wiring and voila: put the car in neutral, flip the switch, turn the key and voor-room. Pedals are not depressed. It feels pretty sturdy, especially for its size, so we're hoping its durability will match; It doesn't feel flimsy at all, and I appreciate the included rubber O-ring for the attachment point. Connecting to the wiring harness in parallel ensures that the cruise control will still work and the cruise control function will still work even if I also press the clutch (when the car's cruise control is on). And of course I can switch off the cruise control at the touch of a button. LED-lit options were available, but that seemed like extra wiring to power the switch (you'd have to unplug the wire from the ACC side to turn it off all the time); Also, I read some reviews that said the LEDs were really bright. Now I have a nice thin little button that doesn't seem to do anything unless you know what it's doing. closer)
