I did a lot of research and decided to use this camera as a front camera (as opposed to a rear view camera or a DVR) to help park my car. This camera is more expensive than others, but it's very well made with a metal body and mounts (not plastic) and is waterproof. It also has a long transmission length; Cheaper devices don't have a strong WiFi signal. Day and night resolution is excellent (see video above, note the uploaded video is limited to 480x270 and doesn't look as good as the actual camera image). It exceeds my expectations for use as a front view camera for parking purposes. Some notes: 1) I use an HD tablet instead of a phone as switching between wireless and data networks on the phone can slow things down. 2) If you use it as a front camera, you need to find a 12V DC power source that only turns on when the car is moving; Do not leave the camera on all the time as it may heat up and the battery may run out. 3) If you use front parking, it must be installed in the middle or under the front of your vehicle. 4) The actual image/resolution for the camera is much better than the video I uploaded. The image/resolution suffers from the screen capture program and video rendering available for download. 5) Works in the rain. However, as with any camera, whether front-facing or rear-facing, if water gets on the lens you will need to wipe off water to see clearly. But it's really waterproof. Overall very happy with the camera and its use.
