The Nikon Prostaff 3S binoculars are a pretty good product for the price (about $130 when I bought them). The only issue I have for them is chromatic aberration with close objects in bright light. Objects have an outline in a light color. I have to say when I mentioned this to a friend who uses them she said she would never have noticed if I hadn't mentioned it but yeah it wasn't my imagination. I live in the ocean and use them mainly to spot whales, dolphins and passing ships and have no problem with objects that far away. But a passing beauty on the beach glows a little. I decided it wasn't so bad that I would return them. I'm just saying.
