Review on Enhanced SR-629 2-in-1 Duplex Cross Band Radio Repeater Controller featuring Radio Cable for Walkie Talkie by Surecom Mcbazel by Stetson Olsen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Really reliable radio transmission and voice recognition, terrible emptiness and interference.

I'm really divided on this topic. On the one hand, it grounds the wearer and switches the radio without the need for VOX, perfectly. On the other hand, no results are available because the two radios cannot be spaced far enough apart to have a range of more than a few hundred feet. Huge desens problems, even duplex for me. It could never work well enough to use. It would be nice if the included cables were about 15 feet long and had ferrites on them. However, the tone detection and radio keypad are fast and reliable, making them well suited for creating cello links in the radio. In fact, the upcoming Surecom SR729 is the exact same device with modified software, pulsing on the carrier mass instead of holding it. As such, it works natively with Android and Zello phones. I'll buy some of these as soon as they come out.

Pros
  • Powered by two built-in lithium-ion batteries, 72-hour lifespan.
Cons
  • Minor problems
