I needed to replace my old polyurethane jug and decided on this one after reading all the reviews. I've been using it for almost a week and haven't encountered any problems. I like the new design for several reasons.1. The flip spout won't drip when you drink slowly. For the same reason, the lid will not fall off when pouring.2. The center of gravity differs from the older version due to the design of the handle and the shape of the vessel. I noticed that this engages the muscles of the forearm, not the shoulder. I'm older and that counts. I actually dropped an old pitcher for this reason, 3. The handle has a good grip and seems to distribute weight more efficiently, eliminating the awkward feeling that a fall can cause. The water bowl is much smaller than the old device. At first I thought this was a disadvantage, but in fact it produces usable filtered water faster. However, if you often need a liter or more at once, this can be annoying. (Tip: I've found that if you place it under the faucet with a slow drip, you can fill the jug in about 10 minutes. Of course, it's pretty heavy at this point. Pour carefully.) One final note. It's amazing how much odor accumulates in one of these plastic jugs after years of use. At some point it won't be clean anymore. And then it's time for the NEW! I happily danced the Revain delivery, when did it arrive? No, I held back, but hardly.
