Review on πŸ”Œ BrosTrend Linux WiFi Adapter: 1200Mbps, Long Range, Windows 11 Compatible by Matt Pavelko

Had to edit my review

I'm a big fan of a permanent wired connection. However, this is not always plausible. (In my case the router is upstairs in the kitchen while our computers are in the basement and running cables through walls is off my radar) Setup is easy. plug in and done. (for Windows 10) For Linux, you just need to contact support and they will answer almost immediately, install the package they send and you're done (I contacted them myself at almost 23:00 Moscow time and a Email received for 10 minutes) The device itself is slim and doesn't look ugly. But the performance really impressed me. I have no connection problems. The speed test shows that I'm still downloading 100 MB/s and have no problems at all while playing. So impressed with the adapter we bought the same one for my wife so we could throw away the AC adapter she has and of course we weren't ALL impressed. 10/10 highly recommended for both Windows and Linux apps (I use Linux Mint myself, unless I'm a gamer, if you're wondering which distro) EDIT********* ****** After how i had two such adapters on two different machines i have to change my mind. BOTH adapters stopped working within a week or two and no amount of fuss, driver updates etc etc was able to fix the problem. Blue light indicates that the power is not turning on and the device is not recognized by any of the machines. Bought because we wanted to avoid running wires or cables everywhere. I think it was good for a temporary fix.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Nothing here
