Great price and everything you need, no need to replace the seal.

Excellent quality and price. However, I have some advice for those who are changing transmission fluid for the first time. First, be careful not to round off the hex hole of the drain plug. Trust me, due to the poor design, BMW uses a 1" round connector with a 5mm hex hole so you can try to unplug it. The soft metal on the plug and the small 5mm hex hole just waiting for you to round off ended up with a stuck drain plug. I ended up having to use a hex extractor to loosen the plug. Brilliant German over/under technique if you ask me. - Second, changing the filter o-ring is a real pain. Due to the recessed hole and the way the seal is inserted into the gearbox, there is no easy way to remove it. You can use caulk remover but due to the limited space you will have a hard time getting a hook on it. My advice is that although the seal does come with your filter, unless it is broken, you should leave it alone. You can use a pick and hammer trying to hit the perimeter of the seal to deform it, but it's an awkward task. Also, the rubber lip of the seal may be damaged after starting and you will need to replace it to avoid future leakage. If you really want to remove the seal, I've included a DIY tool. Examine the photos and get these parts from the hardware store. Sliding steel tube for driving is optional. The tool consists of a PVC tee connected to a 3/4 inch PVC or metal pipe. The conical spigot must be screwed into the seal. Insert it as tightly as possible. Then use the handles to pull out the seal. . However, the seals are very tight. And if you're still having trouble removing the seal, use the long pry bar attached to the tool's handle and remove the seal. Installing a new gasket is easy. Simply use a socket wrench of the same diameter as the gasket, line it up and slowly drive the new gasket in until it is seated. Again, you don't have to replace the gaskets if you leave them intact. But once you've started and failed miserably, you can fall back on toolmaking. It works. Wonderful. 328I, the seal has started to leak. Yes I tightened it properly when I installed it. Lesson learned, don't skimp, p sounds silly. Buy Genuine BMW Parts to save yourself the headache on the road.
