Okay, first of all: I'm NOT an apron type. I resisted this for a long time, although my wife repeatedly pointed out the advantages of such a device when grilling and smoking. I finally gave in and ordered this apron on her recommendation. At least it's a men's denim apron, and apart from not being made of thick leather, it's similar in design to the welder's smock (I refused to call it an apron!) I wore when working with hot metal. So much to my surprise when I first wore it with ribs and chicken this weekend, I LOVE IT! It's comfortable, fits my 'overweight male' build (with plenty of room to grow), the pockets are very handy for timers, my instant read thermometer, cell phones and other items I carry around while cooking. . And if coal dust gets on me, I can just brush it off. I really wish I had bought one of these years ago. If I ever wear out I will definitely order more.
