This item is small and does not weigh much which is good if you are elderly and/or have hand arthritis. However, the design becomes a nightmare when you try to clean it up. The inner part where you insert the filter is almost impossible to remove from the main body of the jug if you want to clean it. Two people worked on it for half an hour and in the end we had to use a tool to loosen it which broke the glass. ATTENTION TO THE BUYER! It does the job of filtering the water, but the attendant problem of when you want to clean it or replace the filter makes it impractical.
