Strange to hold but works

Hooks look exactly like the pictures. Depending on the size of your hands, the inside of your hand may or may not work with this hook style. I have a square palm and shorter fingers. My hand is bigger than a child's size. I am also a KNIFE HOLD knitter. I can hold a pencil since my mother started knitting, but of course I'm more comfortable holding a knife. With this understanding I crocheted size I (5.5mm) and found that I could knit evenly with rhythm and good tension, but the hook grip felt like it needed to be slightly shorter or longer. one piece. something that fits comfortably in my fingers and palms. The design isn't as good as it could be for knife holders. In addition, the material is not soft. With the pencil grip I had no problems with any of the hooks. It's long and wide enough to give control without hurting the hand. Keep in mind that they are made of harder plastic and not rubber. It will be like holding an aluminum hook. Overall I think these hooks are a solid set of seconds (not my favorites that never leave home) that can travel with me from doctor's offices to road trips. I bought lace hook sizes for grip sizes so I wouldn't get tired of grabbing a 00 steel hook. They serve the purpose but not so well for the larger sizes.
