Revainrating 5 out of 5

Driving my boss's sub to my suburb.

My factory subwoofer exploded in my 2001 suburban Chevy car. It sounded like a tin can had been kicked onto the street. I threw away the old subwoofer and ordered a cheap replacement from the boss and when I received it I found nothing fit in the factory box. After some research and frustration I got hold of this speaker gasket so I can install an aftermarket product. It barely matched my speaker. I was able to reuse the factory mounting holes for the gasket with 2" sheet metal screws and then I drilled holes in the rim of the box to mount the subwoofer with 2 1/2" sheet metal screws through the gasket to the rim. Everything is very convenient. I did my best to seal the gasket with caulking material as some recommend. I don't recommend it, it's messy and most likely irrelevant. However, everything works fine and I have full sound again!

Cons
