Review on Summer Infant Multi Use Walk Thru Bronze by Jaie Bobin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Take your time, understand the installation and operation, and you will have the strong door you dream of.

Revain has had many mixed reviews of this gate. "Latch doesn't work" "Gate wobbles" "Bad job" I thought I was going to roll the dice. Here are the facts. It's a strong, sturdy door and it does exactly what it's designed to do. You can't just turn a few knobs and use it. I think that's something a lot of people don't understand. Don't rush into a trial suit. Set it up a few times and tweak and tweak all the details. Understand the operation. There is no traditional latch at the top, just a tongue that prevents the gate from opening. The gate opens with a lift and push, although I have to lift it slightly at an angle. The lift deactivates the two spring buttons and allows the gate to open in one direction. Once I got the right fit, I marked the position of the pads and then removed them again. By screwing the bases of the rosettes to the door frame and really pulling the bolts out to the previous fit, I got a very strong gate that a small child or animal could not open. and take the time to really attach it to the doorway. You will be satisfied with the end product. In addition, the loop on the base plate is intentional. This allows you to mount the gate with tension. The bow straightens when the correct tension is reached. Study and understand and you will love it.
