1997 Chevy Silverado K1500 with 5.7 liter V8 engine. While working on my engine, my original oil pressure sensor broke because it was brittle. Not thinking there would be much difference between the sensors, I bought the sensor from another website. I started having problems with the oil pressure dropping to almost zero when stopping and only rising to 20 while driving. I realized that my original sensor was giving me bad readings all the time. Bought another new sensor just to be sure and it gave me low readings as well. Began to wonder if my engine had fired. I ended up replacing the oil pump and removing the oil cooler lines but that didn't help. The oil pressure gauge stays on for a while and then drops sharply. I started reading about people having similar issues and tried the Delco brand of AC so figured it couldn't hurt. I'm happy to say that it solved all my problems and I definitely recommend this brand. Just make sure you have an oil pressure sensor socket to make the job relatively easy.
