READ if you have 3 prongs instead of single

like many people i have 3 prongs instead of one. If your fork is identical to the gear unit, proceed as follows: Break off the two side pins with needle nose pliers. The middle pin is for the oil level indicator. Two external fuel pump shut offs in case of oil pressure drop on some models. If your plug has 3 wires, don't break them.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • slightly torn

IT WORKS! .and it's part of Delco! .but .

.had to cut/remove the center pin as my original didn't have one. OEM .) .connected immediately afterwards .so .5 stars for "value" and "easy to install" (cutting and removing the center pin is generally easy). but only 4 stars for "accuracy". WORKS PERFECTLY!

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Something different

Ideal for spares

I hope this is a genuine ACDelco part. It has no markings that distinguish it from other brands. It came in an ACD box. It has a sticker that says 'Made in Mexico' which is fine. But I couldn't find an ACD part number anywhere. The time will show. In general, OEM is much better than cheap Taiwanese aftermarket. Definitely the size etc fit my 1997 Silverado 5.7 engine.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • There are new competitors

The oil pressure was near zero when my original one failed...

Found out that on my 98 5.0 305 the sensor was on the back of the engine under a dizzying cover. Not easily accessible. I had to lie down on the engine to remove and install it. The old one cracked due to age and lost oil. New threads come pre-packaged. Spend $7 on a Lisle oil sensor connector to make things a little easier. Now I see the correct oil pressure.

Pros
  • cool item
Cons
  • upgrade availability

fits my 2000 chevrolet k3500 7.4L 4x4

for 7.4L (454) They make 2 versions of these, 2 pin and 3 pin. The connector style is the same. Please check yours before ordering. Replacing these is a little tricky as they are located behind the engine. You will need an oil feed head (large type), an extension about 12-14" (3/8") long and a 3/8" universal joint. This sensor is in the same location on my 2004 Silveardo (with a different one of course part number) so I have experience replacing it Great price genuine ACDELCO.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some bugs

Worked on Chevy Express 15 pass from 7.4L 2000 - 454

My oil pressure sensor was jumping and didn't seem to register properly. Problem with many machines. I've done my due diligence and cross referenced this part. For those upgrading to a Chevy Express w 7.4l, getting there isn't too bad (note below). You should buy an oil pressure sensor connector. I got mine locally for $10. The item was very easy to remove. I noticed that on my original/installed part, 2 of the 3 pins were removed with some rubber to prevent these pins from shorting out. At…

I wish I would have bought this in the first place.

1997 Chevy Silverado K1500 with 5.7 liter V8 engine. While working on my engine, my original oil pressure sensor broke because it was brittle. Not thinking there would be much difference between the sensors, I bought the sensor from another website. I started having problems with the oil pressure dropping to almost zero when stopping and only rising to 20 while driving. I realized that my original sensor was giving me bad readings all the time. Bought another new sensor just to be sure and it…
