Review on πŸ”§ Milescraft 1316 CabinetMate - Shelf Pin Drill Jig by Danny Lavimodiere

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Fixing requires modification

Bought jig to drill holes in shelves for cabinet mounting. As other users have pointed out, the holes move 1/16" when the jig is flipped to the other side. This is fine for base cabinets with only 1 shelf, but for anything larger your pin holes will be quite large be large. Poor production. Modification 1: Cut the template so both sides are EQUAL. The bit that comes with the tool is 1/4". Works great with the mount except the metal fitting that comes in the bracket fits/aligns longer than the bracket is you will leave round dimples in the wood around the pinhole Poor manufacturing Change 2: grind the drill ring so it doesn't protrude beyond the bracket additional cost.My collection of various Pins over the years are ALL 5mm. So with the additional purchase of a 5mm bit, combined with the two mods I've made, I would give the fixture 2 stars. If it came with a 5mm bit and none, kei ne mods required, 5 stars. I will never buy a Milescraft product again. Sorry, Fixture should come with no mods.
