Review on Sunsun Hw304B Canister Filter Kit with 525GPH Flow 🐠 Rate and 9-watt UV Sterilizer: Efficient Aquarium Water Purification Solution by Chelsea Miller

I'm not an expert! Just another guy like a fish! I use this SunSun alongside my Eheim 2075 pro 3 which I got from a local aquarium about 7 months ago. Here's what I think of both side by side. By the way. This 304B comes with 4 media baskets, not the 3 shows in the picture. Price: SunSun costs only 1/3. Material: SunSun uses soft plastic, all parts can be mixed. Eleim uses hard plastic made from more durable materials. Water Flow: SunSun has better water flow than Eheim. SunSun rated 575 GPH and Eleim rated 330 GPH. Noise: The SunSun's noise level is acceptable, but still noticeable if you want to hear it. But Eheim has less noise compared to the sun. Media Baskets and Media: SunSun does not ship media in a box. However, the seller included some basic supports and upholstery at no extra charge. SunSun baskets are much larger than Ehiem which means they can hold more media. However, there is very limited information on printing how to set it up. With experienced people this is not a problem. But for a newbie, YouTube is your friend! Built-in on/off switch for 9W UV lamp and small on/off indicator. Hose size is 1 inch. Ehiem use 3/4. SunSun media baskets are also made of soft plastic. What glue uses thinner plastic! However. Eheim has better stack shape design. I need extra time to make sure I put them on correctly and at the same level. These baskets are also larger than those of the Ehiem 2075 - the SunSun basket does not indicate when it is full. Ehiem and many others use a transparent basket so that the water level is clearly visible. So far I love the SunSun 304B for performance and price, I just can't beat it! Give it 6 months and you will see that things will change. Finally, don't expect the price paid for a Hyundai for a Mercedes. But Mercedes is not always better than Hyundai. Update after 7 months. The canister is still quiet, smooth and has a very strong water flow. I've done a full cleaning 3 times since new. No leaks or any problems. Get away from this guy completely. I am sure I will recommend it to my friends! Going from 4 stars to 5 stars 20 months, works great as a first day! I'll soon get another one for my planted aquarium. To be honest, this HW308B is inferior to the Ehiem Pro 3 in performance. I have had Sun Sun for over 26 months now. Every time I need to clean Ehiem I want to replace it with another sun. After 2.5 years of use. The last time I cleaned the filter, I noticed that a small piece of black plastic fell out. and I can't find where to put it back. So I plan to skip it after cleaning. however, it begins to leak. I try different ways but the leaks still appear, it looks like the water overflows to the max and starts to flow out. I think it has something to do with that little piece of black plastic that I don't know how to put back. SO I call it DONE. Just place an order for the same one to replace it. For the price, it's worth using again!
