These watercolors dwarfed my Winsor and Newton artist pans in brightness. I love how bright and easy these colors flow. As other reviews have pointed out, earth tones differ slightly from their more traditional counterparts. I will continue to use Graham's Burnt Umber M, Burnt Sienna and Winsor and Newton's Yellow Ocher. Another fall color is azure. Looks a lot closer to ptalo blue so I'll stick with another brand for this natural sky color. However, navy blue, purple, red and green blend beautifully and react as if they were designed to never stain or dull the color of a painting. Another thing to note is that the brightness changes a lot as the colors dry. So keep in mind that all the colors seem to have fast dyeing speed and not easy to peel off the paper. These traits can be both positive and negative, so it's up to you.
