A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

I shoot photos and videos - 50/50. Before that, I used all the โ€œbrandsโ€ of 5D from Canon. The Canon 5D Mark IV is fine for me in terms of photography, but when shooting video, it causes pain and suffering. R5 brings only positive emotions. Different pros: What I think is important for me personally. I compare mainly with the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. 1. Finally, 4K video files have a very modest size. You can select the compression level. 2. 4K video is taken from the full size of the sensor, not from the cropped center. Now the wide-angle lens remains as wide as when taking a photo! However, if there is a need for additional zoom, crop can be turned on. 3. In general, the video shooting functionality gives everything that a filmmaker needs in 2022: - 4K high quality (downsampling from 8K), - 120 frames per second, matrix stabilization (from now on you can do without steadicam), - 4:2:2/10 bit. - auto ISO when shooting in Log in any mode (M, Av) with the ability to compensate for exposure by turning the wheel. 3. Separate settings for photo and video when switching mode. And many other things that make life easy and carefree. Has cons: 1. I can't attribute the high price and the need to buy expensive CFexpress memory cards as disadvantages - it's just that the world is so cruel. 2. The need to switch to RF lenses or use an adapter. The adapter works much faster than if you used the same Canon lenses on Sony cameras. 3. Rolling shutter (probably no more than competitors' cameras). 4. About overheating, I will add a review later, when I start shooting long interviews in 8K at 120 frames per second (maybe it was sarcasm).
