Review on 🎧 SoundMAGIC E11C Gunmetal Earphones with Microphone & Remote, plus Bonus 10 Eartips by Ryan Bowers

Revainrating 3 out of 5

An acceptable choice for a second pair of Sound Magic.

Good news: My last pair of E10Cs lasted at least 4 years with daily use (calling, listening to music). Less than good news: I HATE the stuff E11C cables are made out of. Before buying I read a review on the exchanges claiming that the E11C cables were less "sticky" which led me to buy. The same reviewer mentioned improved sound quality. My E11C knots like crazy and literally sticks to anything even remotely touched, making me swear profusely a lot more than usual. I can't say my music sounds better, or my calls. Added pause/volume controls to the cable for the 11C that feel too small for long fingers/big hands - what a "huge" leap forward. I needed new headphones because my previous pair had simply failed after an unusually long lifespan. The E11Cs were the "best" I could find at this overstuffed price point. I hope they last as long as my previous pair/model as durability seems to be the best feature to mention. If only people didn't pay attention to the profound difference between "change" and "progress." 6 Month Update: It's unofficially official: E11C cables are made of dumb filament. In a less imperfect world, the manufacturer and its "research and development" would be punished quickly and severely for having chosen such a miserable blend of plastics. Middle fingers and toes UP, sound magic.
