The only reason this device gets 2 stars instead of 1 is that it works and does what it is supposed to do. The problem is for the IR device. The amount of IR projected from it is very small. For the price it does several things. It definitely didn't meet my expectations. I have a TV and an IR controlled fireplace. I installed this unit on the wall directly across from both units. The distance is about 9-10 feet. Neither the Vizio TV nor my fireplace can receive signals from this distance. Move it away from the wall and closer. They both work. Great entry-level device for system cabinets. But not control over the entire media sphere.
