Review on πŸ–₯️ LG Electronics 43UD79-B LED Lit Monitor - 42.5", 3840X2160P, Six Axis Control, Reader Mode, DAS Mode, Factory Calibration, HD, IPS by Jason Bogan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I use this monitor every day, 8-14 hours a day.

I review and annotate architectural plans for a living and bought this monitor thinking I could fit an entire 24" x 36" drawing 100% on screen and read it all. It worked. Pros: > I can read every letter and line in my normal viewing position (24"-30") and have no shutter or lag effects (requires a powerful video adapter - 2GB or better), but it works.> Pass through Docks, but it's better that they are powerful. I'm using Plugable USB-C 4K. I also regularly use 4 monitors (2 1080 acres, 32" and 17" on my P71 workstation. > It has surprisingly good speakers. In fact I chose not to connect the speakers I had for my system, they just don't sound is just as good Cons: > VERY heavy I haven't found a monitor mount that would hold it yet so I mounted it on wooden blocks it works I have to tinker with the best way to mount it I use HDMI at 60p after using DVI which gave me a shutter effect (not 60p) >yes it has an edge issue but because of the screen type I just keep my tools and menus off the edges, since they're too far away for me anyway more space at the top of the screen than I need for it.> It's bright!VERY bright!Luckily the monitor has some pretty good settings in that regard.all CAD stations.
