Looks good but not sure

The jacket looked good straight away. The material was as expected for a service jacket and looked ok. After trying it on, however, it not only met my expectations, but also the quality. First, the button on one of the shoulder straps didn't work. . I thought the button was bad but what happened was the button closure came loose. The jacket was also a bit difficult to pull off. It quickly became clear to me that the zipper had to be 100% straight, otherwise it wouldn't close at all. Finally, the waist tightening mechanism sits about an inch above my natural waist. So when I zip up and tighten, it looks weird to me. I don't have a long torso at all, so I don't think that should have been a problem. I've had other work jackets and have never had this problem before so it was just weird. I could fix a button, but if I'm already having a problem closing one of the buttons, whose other button doesn't break too? The zipper is an annoyance I can deal with, but when the jacket is priced at $40 plus there's no excuse for a cheap zipper. Also, the zipper is of course a bit "wavy", so I don't know if it will straighten out over time or not. If I paid $20 I wouldn't complain. But spending more than $40? I would send it back immediately. I wanted this jacket to be the staple of the outfit but it definitely won't be.
