Great product, a pleasure to use.

Unfortunately, there is no full-fledged PCI-E 4x4 disk on the MLC. Not a single consumer drive is currently capable of providing PCI-E 4x4 interface speeds, regardless of the load.
The drive has only one competitor - WD_BLACK™ SN850 NVMe. But both need good cooling if loaded.
If you regularly load the disk with large amounts of data for recording, then the previous 970 PRO line will actually provide higher speeds, but it is more expensive.

Pros

- Speed. - Volume. - Excellent support from the manufacturer in terms of firmware release. - Excellent proprietary utility.

Cons

- Memory is now TLC, not MLC. Critical when writing large amounts of data. The speed drops lower than on the 970 PRO. She is stable there. - It's heating up. Under good loads, a radiator is highly recommended.
