These connectors work much like Scotch Loks, you can feed a wire and insert another to connect them and you just press the green tab and they should stay in place. Sometimes yes, but unless you use a very thin and stiff wire it's difficult to get it far enough to make a connection. They work well for thinner solid wires like those used in Cat5/6/7 cables. There is some kind of gel inside the connector to keep the wire from oxidizing. I'm not sure what it's for, but after spending a few of them trying to figure out what size wire I could use, they work fine. Definitely 20 gauge or less thinly insulated is the best choice for them. The quality is good, not terrible. The package contains 2 packs of 100 pieces. You can use medium sized tongs to crush them slightly. Overall I'm happy with them.
