Purchased for a 10kW domestic backup generator due to cross referencing part numbers. At first glance, that doesn't look right. The motor and solenoid are larger and the starter gear has fewer teeth. However, they bring out the microphone. It uses a larger motor with higher torque. While the OEM used a small, low-torque motor with a planetary gear set on a larger starting gear. This replacement starter fits perfectly and the engine starts much faster than before. Good price for a 5 star OEM upgrade. Update: 1 year 6 months after starting at least once a week there is still no gear noise and it still starts like a champ with no problems.
