I bought this starter last fall because my own starter failed. It's been plowing snow all last fall and all winter and you know how much snow we've had, lots and never had a problem with it and it still works if you need a starter this could be for you I can arrange.

I've had enough time to compare it to the original. It was right. Unfortunately, when I installed it, I found that my problem was not with a bad starter, but with the engine itself. A 2x4 inch hole was punched in the side of the aluminum engine block. I sent back the starter that was no longer used.

The starter was ordered on Sunday and arrived on Wednesday. It had a different number of splines than the stock part and was a slightly different size, but the splines were reproduced by the mic as teeth of the same size and the parts were cross-referenced, so I installed it. It works as well or even better than the standard device. a spare part in my Generac 16kw generator and the seller sent it to me very quickly.

Purchased on December 19, 2019 and it just died. I don't think 20 months is bad for this price. Generac is charging $265 for a stock replacement (Generac 0E4271 OEM RV Delco Type Generator Starter Motor). Recommendation: Starter replacement is PITA royalty so I cut an access hole in the back panel and it takes about 15 minutes to swap out the starter. I placed the panel I cut out and used good HVAC tape to attach it. It stayed safe and waterproof for 20 months.

Photos included so you can identify which generator I fitted this to. Note that the new starter is shorter than the OEM but is otherwise exactly the same as the old one. It's shorter at the back so the extra support bracket on the back of the starter isn't used. Connected and tested in 10 minutes. This big motor spins faster than the previous one. Purchased for a 10kW domestic backup generator due to cross referencing part numbers. At first glance, that doesn't look right. The motor and solenoid are larger and the starter gear has fewer teeth. However, they bring out the microphone. It uses a larger motor with higher torque. While the OEM used a small, low-torque motor with a planetary gear set on a larger starting gear. This replacement starter fits perfectly and the engine starts much faster than before. Good price for a 5 star OEM…

I have used this to replace the starter motor on my 992cc engine 15kw Generac LP replacement alternator (model 04390-3). . It was a much cheaper option than the OEM starter.
