I've made some hinged doors (to fit the 'junkyard' on the back of my RTV900). Last week I moved 50 yards of mulch with this tool (1.5 yards at a time - 1000 pounds?). This latch would hold much better than the one I had (this latch failed). I got this and after 10 minutes (obviously) welded it directly onto the 2x2 as shown. I think it's a 3/4 nut that I welded to the other door. It prevents the doors from opening. I can customize one or add another one when they open during the next job. I left big gaps in everything so the mulch doesn't get stuck. If the pin travel was another 1/4 or 1/2 it would be great for my application.
