This is a very good product, much better than others I've seen here, would definitely recommend buying, very strong, welded, good, should work fine.

I use these for heavy duty work to support the lowering sides of a dump trailer. One star removed because a grinder had to be used to get the pin to work (safety pins are sticking out). Otherwise very satisfied.

Need a quick and easy pin for my homemade wheel holder. It worked great, welded great and is solid, just how I wanted it. As others have pointed out, you may need to grind one of the locking pins to make it snap if it's welded to something. It was easy to fix.

I bought 4 of these for a project. One was installed upside down, indicated by the retaining notch on the wrong side of the spring tension. Also, the pin is 16mm, not 5/8". I had to go back and re-drill larger holes. They worked great despite these issues and would buy them again.

I like it a lot. I was pleasantly surprised at how much heavier it is than it looks in the picture. It also has a small groove to rotate and hold the pin open if you wish. The metal appears to be very thick, so it's not difficult to weld. I just ordered my second one. At $7.67 this is a great value in my opinion.

I've made some hinged doors (to fit the 'junkyard' on the back of my RTV900). Last week I moved 50 yards of mulch with this tool (1.5 yards at a time - 1000 pounds?). This latch would hold much better than the one I had (this latch failed). I got this and after 10 minutes (obviously) welded it directly onto the 2x2 as shown.
