These are very nice modern shoes. These are slip ons my son loves! He says he's most comfortable without socks, but the socks he tried on were thicker. I think thin socks would work too. He says the texture is great and they're very comfortable. They're a bit tight, but we think they'll stretch as he wears more of them. This does not affect the wearing comfort of the shoes. It appears to be well made and has a good grip on the bottom of the shoe so it's not a slippery shoe at all.
