Review on Nokian Tires Hakkapeliitta 10p 215/55 R16 97T winter by Janis Cerins ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

There are benefits and drawbacks to using 9ki. See how things develop I'd like to add that I've upgraded the review's star rating. Excellent behavior stuck in a rut no longer poses the initial concern. Further. I put around 1,500 kilometers on tires. Mileage was great, 17k on the indication 8, and not a single spike was lost. My vehicle is a 2-ton, rear-wheel drive 225/55/17 truck. Five excursions from Hong Kong to the flax region, through ice and snow as if it were asphalt, with not a trace of destruction even at high speeds (literally, when driving on ice on m11), in contrast to the 9ka, which had demolition problems even when it was brand new. Superb rubber. Please take my advice.

Pros
  • I've been riding on Nokian spikes for the past decade, so it's interesting to see how they stack up against older models. I liken it to leaving for five seasons on two nines. The 10 ka is noticeably more pleasant to ride in than the 9 ka; it absorbs shocks better (in all directions) and has excellent handling (different from directional stability)—you can turn the wheel and travel in any direction, as if you were flying. Usefulness similar to Goodyear's summer 1 in 1 model is a bonus. I ran a thousand kilometers without incident, and I've driven four thousand kilometers (city and highway combined) in a Mercedes-Benz C-Class with two tons of curb weight, rear-wheel drive, and 310 horsepower. Since the 9k had an indicator 8 that went away after 2022 km and a kit that rolled to 0 at 27-29 tkm, it's safe to assume that these have a stronger resistance to wear. I can hardly hear any of the outside noise in my Mercedes because it is so much quieter there than it is in my apartment in 9ka.
Cons
  • And now for the new "comfort" 9ki's worst drawback: it bounces about like a ball! It's impossible to drive for long distances because of how wildly it springs; yes, it provides great comfort on bumps; but the track and any change in the roadway, rolls, etc. is just a disaster. Whereas at 9 ke I could let go of the steering wheel at a speed of 150 and just go straight, here at a speed of 90-100 I hold it as best I can, I constantly catch the car. All four tires have the same amount of air in them (the car's sensors ensure this).
