- Got a new Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10p 225/40 R18 for a friend's car. Super! On my car BMW M550d skated on Hakka for 8 whole 8 seasons, I consider this studded tire to be the best tire on the market for driving outside the city, on the highway in any weather. Summer - Michelin, winter - Hakka. Very aggressively advertised Michelin X Ice North 4 - sorry guys, when the spikes are thin as toothpicks, they won't hold. There are a lot of video reviews on Youtube, where the Michelin spikes are first bent and erased as they rotate, and then they start to leave the chat. Did you drive carelessly? I also didn’t really strain for 8 winters, but the result, as the literate people write, is on my face (on mine, apparently).

Description of Nokian Tires Hakkapeliitta 10p 215/55 R16 97T winter
For the first time in the company''s history, Nokian Tires presents versions of models aimed at the markets of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. The new Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10p SUV and crossover tires are designed to meet the highest safety and environmental requirements, while fully complying with Russian winter tire regulations. The new Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10p studded winter tire is designed for comfortable and easy operation in difficult winter conditions. The excellent grip of this flagship range in winter conditions is the result of the latest Nokian Tires stud technology, rigorous testing and research. The unique double stud technology ensures maximum safety on ice and snow: studs in the central part of the tread improve traction during acceleration and braking, while studs in the shoulder areas provide maximum traction when cornering and changing lanes.
The Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10p range includes 137 sizes. The size range consists of tires from 14 to 22 inches, Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10p tires are presented in the speed category T (190 km/h). In most sizes, tires are marked XL, which means the maximum possible load capacity in a given size. The new Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10p product line will be available to end users in autumn 2021. The markets where tires of the updated model range will be sold will be Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
The number of studs in the tire has also been increased, and their location has been calculated based on the size. For example, for the most popular size 205/55 R16, the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9 has only 190 studs, while the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10p has 220 studs. The increase is 16% compared to the previous model. This makes it possible to further improve the safety performance of the tire.
Reliable Handling and Maximum Stability While perfect grip on ice is a must, tire stability and versatility on wet, dry and snowy roads is a key feature in ever-changing winter conditions. The new directional tread pattern of the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10p tires has a large number of sipes, resulting in improved driving stability and reliable grip on snow. An aggressive tread pattern with interlocking tread blocks provides maximum traction and stability, while self-locking 3D sipes maintain the shape of the blocks in contact with the road, improving handling when cornering and manoeuvring.
Specifically designed to improve grip on snow, the Acceleration and Brake Boosters increase the longitudinal grip needed for braking and acceleration. Aggressive deep snow grooves in the shoulder areas provide additional traction in deep snow.

Pros
Pros
- Much quieter than predecessor models at speeds below 100 km/h. Also, there is no bright rustle of spikes when braking and fast cornering. At the same time, the amazing grip on the ice was preserved.
Cons
- Scandinavian tires always have a more pronounced "feel" of the asphalt track, but on this model, as it seemed, this was more pronounced.
Pros
- Excellent acceleration on slippery roads with virtually no slippage
Cons
- VERY NOISY!
Pros
- I've been riding on Nokian spikes for the past decade, so it's interesting to see how they stack up against older models. I liken it to leaving for five seasons on two nines. The 10 ka is noticeably more pleasant to ride in than the 9 ka; it absorbs shocks better (in all directions) and has excellent handling (different from directional stability)—you can turn the wheel and travel in any direction, as if you were flying. Usefulness similar to Goodyear's summer 1 in 1 model is a bonus. I ran a thousand kilometers without incident, and I've driven four thousand kilometers (city and highway combined) in a Mercedes-Benz C-Class with two tons of curb weight, rear-wheel drive, and 310 horsepower. Since the 9k had an indicator 8 that went away after 2022 km and a kit that rolled to 0 at 27-29 tkm, it's safe to assume that these have a stronger resistance to wear. I can hardly hear any of the outside noise in my Mercedes because it is so much quieter there than it is in my apartment in 9ka.
Cons
- And now for the new "comfort" 9ki's worst drawback: it bounces about like a ball! It's impossible to drive for long distances because of how wildly it springs; yes, it provides great comfort on bumps; but the track and any change in the roadway, rolls, etc. is just a disaster. Whereas at 9 ke I could let go of the steering wheel at a speed of 150 and just go straight, here at a speed of 90-100 I hold it as best I can, I constantly catch the car. All four tires have the same amount of air in them (the car's sensors ensure this).
Pros
- Handling is good
Cons
- Crashed in season 1
Pros
- 1. Very quiet. 2. Good rut stability. 3. Good acceleration properties on light snow and on dry pavement
Cons
- The first and main drawback is the quality of rubber production. On two of the four wheels there was an obvious marriage (maybe not so significant, but clearly talking about the level of quality control in production). On one wheel, the stud was inserted with the reverse side (see photo) On the other wheel, the stud was clearly worn off (a crookedly cast stud core). (See photo) Well, technical support also works so-so (it is hardly necessary to count on a replacement). In addition, in my opinion, rubber has poor lateral stability, both on wet pavement and on snow. I liked the previous models 7,8,9 more. (7 was with me, 8 with my wife, 9 with my mother-in-law. Machines are about the same power and weight).
Pros
- For the last 10 years I have been riding on Nokian spikes, so the comparison with previous generations. Departure for 5 seasons on 2 sets of 9s, I compare with it. 10 ka is much more comfortable than 9 ka, i. E. handles bumps better (all), good handling (not to be confused with directional stability) - i. E. turned the steering wheel and clearly, as on the fly, you turn on any surface (asphalt, snow, ice, it doesn’t matter). Consumption as in the summer Goodyear 1 in 1 is also a plus. I ran 1000 km calmly, now I have traveled 4000 km in total (city + highway) - the spikes are in place, the indicator 8 is in place, the car is 2 tons Mercedes, rear-wheel drive, 310 hp. Those. most likely, the wear resistance is higher than that of 9k, because on 9k, indicator 8 disappeared after 2022 km and the kit itself rolls to 0 after 27-29 tkm. Further, it is 100% quieter by 2-3 times than 9ka, i. E. There is noise, but it’s deaf there or something - I almost don’t hear it in a Mercedes at all .
Cons
- And now the main disadvantage associated with the new "comfort" 9ki - it jumps like a ball! those. it springs just wildly - yes, it gives great comfort on bumps - but the track and any change in the roadway, rolls, etc. is just a disaster - at 9 ke I could let go of the steering wheel at a speed of 150 and just go straight, here at a speed of 90-100 I I hold it as best I can, I constantly catch the car - it’s impossible to drive for long distances - you get very tired . With tire pressure, everything is even (there are sensors in the car).
