EDIT: I found out why this doesn't fit. My carburetor shim was too tall so I used 2 Stick Fel Pro shims the same thickness as the single shim. I tested it with a Fel Pro Shim without a shim and it worked. then measured the thickness of the gaskets to the spacers. These are the same measurements. Your results may vary by vehicle. The clearance under the hood must be taken into account. Do not purchase this air filter if you want it to fit your 1984 Ford Ranger with a 2.8 liter V6 engine and you have a Motorcraft 2150. It fits and works, but once you lower the hood it doesn't clean the filter. The back of the hood is in contact with the air filter. I don't know how this air filter will fit if you cut off the back of the hood or make a hole in the hood because I didn't and won't do that with my hood. So I can't test if it "works". I also bought a set of risers with different tiers/levels but none of them worked. Also lowest/smallest. He came either in the carburetor or still in the hood. I will be returning this air purifier.
