is still a bit high. lift off center and still rubbing the hood. This is a particular problem with my setup and I think I can fix it.

Definitely fits my 2-barrel carburettor, no adapter. A simple plain 9 inch air filter. It's big enough to clear all your important stuff.

The reflection on the "Triple Chrome" is bad - no high gloss. The coating is only on the upper part of the air cleaner, the lower part is made of raw steel. If it cost around 12€ I would be happy. However, for an additional $10, you can pick up a 10-inch Edelbrock air filter that will last for decades. This Specter block is about the same thickness as Edelbrock, but the finish doesn't seem to hold up!

EDIT: I found out why this doesn't fit. My carburetor shim was too tall so I used 2 Stick Fel Pro shims the same thickness as the single shim. I tested it with a Fel Pro Shim without a shim and it worked. then measured the thickness of the gaskets to the spacers. These are the same measurements. Your results may vary by vehicle.
