Review on πŸ”§ Yakamoz Woodworking T-Slot Cutters: Enhancing Precision and Versatility by Reza Cook

What do you need to know!

EDIT: I'll keep the original review as it's still valid, but the company has come forward and is trying to improve it, so I'll update my review. These bits do what you would expect, they cut grooves in wood quite well. A bit rude but definitely not a deal breaker. What they also don't do is create good T-Slot channels for standard devices. The standard head size for 1/4-20 from all the stores I visited was 7/16. Now you can get 1/4-20 with any of the 3 head sizes, but you can't just go to Menards/Lowes/Homedepot and buy a 1/4-20 that will work with those bits. If you want them for keyholes, great. But to use them for T-Slot, remember to buy special equipment that is not always available. ********* I bought them in April for a specific use. Well I just got into the project last weekend and all I can say is that it's not what the description says (unless someone points me in a direction that will change my mind)! I've just spent 30 minutes at a large lumberyard trying to find a bolt that would fit the slot so I could use it as a T-Nut but to no avail. I found the 5/16 head fits the sides but the slot is too small for the screw. I missed the return window so I'll make it work somehow. The picture above shows 1/4 20 in the larger slot, as you can see there is a gap on either side so I can't tighten the nut as the head rotates. The other two holes/slots are smaller and I can't even fit a 1/4 20 in the slot. Sorry for the long review, it's very out of character for me to write a review let alone one that long.
