Used for the first time this morning and was not warned in advance that the oil would foam on contact with oil. Boy did it ever do! I couldn't even see what I was frying. I pulled it out after a few minutes and finished the job, but my fried mash had a certain chemical aftertaste that's still lingering in my mouth an hour later. All of this can be solved by making sure the pan doesn't touch. Oil, but I won't bother about it. I would recommend NOT buying this product online but purchasing it from your local store to ensure it fits the outside rim of your pan without bottoming out.
