Review on Enhanced Anchor Trolley for Kayaks: YakAttack LeverLock Deluxe AMS-1003 by Udders Sharma

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Really disappointing quality

I ordered a YakAttack Leverloc Anchor Cart as it was made in the USA and was hoping that a company like YakAttack would produce a quality product. I opened the package and was shocked to see how cheap the parts are. The pulleys are incredibly cheap plastic and don't even come close to the quality of Harken pulleys. The Leverloc system has grooves through which the mooring car cable passes but is designed so that the bottom line will not stay in the groove unless it is perfectly flat. Finding a perfectly flat side of a kayak is difficult. The most disappointing part of the product is the mounting hardware. Provide #8 screws to fasten all hardware. NEVER use screws to attach equipment in an underground scenario. Nuts or at least suitable rivets should be used. The only reason I didn't give this oil a star is because it's made in the USA. I will not install this product on my kayak. I will buy a better product from a company that I know can offer just that.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Reliability
