Review on 📹 Amcrest 1080-Lite 8CH DVR Video Security Digital Recorder: Pentabrid & IP Camera Support, HDD & Cameras NOT Included - AMDVTENL8-H5 by Jeff Prabhu

Having installed several other "super high" CCTV systems I have wanted to try a mid range DVR and am very satisfied with the Amcrest line of products. Really impressed with all the features and capabilities of the 1080 Lite 8 and 4 channel DVRs. AMDVTENL8 and L4 blocks allow you to connect 960H/HDCVI/HDTVI/AHD as well as even IP cameras where direct connection to the house is impractical. I saved some money by purchasing diskless DVRs so I could install my own if needed, especially for some Habitat for Humanity projects where funds were limited. The 8 and 4 channel devices offer so many features including scheduling, smartphone remote access, alarms, motion detection, email notifications, PTZ control, recording and more. Amazing for the price. What really impressed me was the consistent and timely customer support via email and phone from their knowledgeable technicians. While I've had a bit of experience with other brands' products, Amcrest is packed with new features. Matt Oliver went out of his way to walk me through the setup procedures, including pictures, examples, and even tagging my screenshots so I could get these systems up and running in record time. Over several days and a dozen email exchanges, he clearly and patiently explained to me all the settings I needed to decide, including forwarding ports through Comcast router firewalls and sending email notifications. I have 2 systems fully functional. The company has also hosted many instructional videos on its website that go into detail on many aspects. I would recommend the Amcrest line of products to anyone who needs quality mid range CCTV systems and my DVR which I prefer to many future customers for features, functionality and especially customer support.
