Amcrest 1080-Lite 8CH DVR

Update after 9 months: The device was working fine but last week I noticed that the HDMI port has stopped working. 2 stars deducted. Wouldn't recommend the device. Good: Bought to get better cameras. I started using Amcrest 960H cameras about 2 years ago. They work great, good color, good after dark with night vision. Bought an Amcrest 1080p camera and an Amcrest 720p camera for improved night vision. Unfortunately the 1080-Lite DVR does not support 1920x1080 on the Amcrest 1080P cameraโ€ฆ

Stable and excellent mobile experience, but NOT 1080P!

After dealing with a bad Zmodo DVR and two absolutely crappy Zosi units, I began to doubt that I could find a working DVR in this price range. I was wrong. Amcrest has proven itself from day one, with a very easy setup, a user-friendly interface, and a fast and stable Android app. Unlike Zosi devices, the DVR hasn't crashed or frozen yet, and the picture quality is more than adequate for light to medium commercial applications. Update: After updating some of my older cameras I found imageโ€ฆ

Outstanding professional customer support from Amcrest Techs for 1080 Lite 8 and 4CH DVR

Having installed several other "super high" CCTV systems I have wanted to try a mid range DVR and am very satisfied with the Amcrest line of products. Really impressed with all the features and capabilities of the 1080 Lite 8 and 4 channel DVRs. AMDVTENL8 and L4 blocks allow you to connect 960H/HDCVI/HDTVI/AHD as well as even IP cameras where direct connection to the house is impractical. I saved some money by purchasing diskless DVRs so I could install my own if needed, especially for someโ€ฆ

Easy replacement for my antique DVR

I had a 9 year old system that served me well but all good things come to an end. My dashcam's power supply broke and I decided it was time to invest in a new, more feature-rich and modern dashcam. I read many reviews and chose Amcrest. The DVR arrived without a hard drive (I knew it would) and I proceeded to install the ones I had on my old DVR. Instructions on how to open the DVR case are given, they are adequate but not great. If you've ever opened up a computer and installed a hard driveโ€ฆ
