Review on Oak and Black Double Multimedia Tower Storage Cabinet by Prepac by Christopher Gonzalez

I have 2 of these and several other Prepac storage towers made from oak. I use the wider ones for movies and these for video games and music. While you can't expect solid wood at this price point, their finishes are more attractive than most other laminate options in this price range, they're easy to assemble, have reasonably straight corners (I've had some similar types of furniture that will come out uneven) and feel strong feel. In my case they are in a semi-permanent setup in the room I use as a home theater and I also screwed them to the wall to eliminate any possibility of cats knocking them over (obviously I find them attractive enough that I wouldn't mind screwing them to the wall). It doesn't show up very well in the photos, but the backs of the towers match the shelves, meaning they are black. Only the sides and the top have a wood look. The base of the device protrudes slightly over the sides at the front, but is flush with them at the back. . Because the sides and center column give a bit, it's easy to mix up the spacing if you install the back without shelves, so the shelves won't fit. Using the shelves as spacers is a great way to make sure everything is in place and the right width.
