Review on 💡 Feit Electric PL13/41/MP 13-Watt PL Cool White Compact Fluorescent Bulb - Pack of 4 by Pamela Whitworth

Please note that I have changed my mind on this product. After much more research, I decided that the failure of these bulbs, as I noted below, was caused by a faulty bulb, NOT the bulbs. To be honest I've changed my rating to an "average" three stars - not because I find the lamps either good or bad, but because of a lamp malfunction I couldn't find anything. . I would delete this review entirely, but I'm afraid others may have read it and negatively impacted my original one star rating. Keep that in mind as you read the original review below:================================== I read the mention of these lamps by another reviewer who pointed out that they are a much cheaper replacement for OttLite lamps than Ottlite brand lamps. Indeed they were, so I ordered this four pack. After receiving them, I tried them out. The form factor appears to be identical to the original OttLite bulb, but all four don't work. One of them gave a quick flash when I turned on the lamp and then nothing at all. The other three managed to produce an orange glow when turned on with repeated bright flashes at the base as the ballast attempted to set them alight. One of them actually ignited after quite a long time, emitting the expected amount of white light. However, after removing it and later trying again, it didn't work and just produced an orange glow. Despite repeated attempts, I've never been able to get any of them to go through the orange glow stage again. At several points during these tests I re-inserted the original OttLite bulb, which turned on immediately with no issues, so I don't think the ballast was the problem. If anyone has an idea what could be wrong I'd love to hear it. In the meantime, I think I just threw away over $10 on utterly useless lightbulbs, further proof that you often get what you pay for. I would be interested to know if anyone else has had any luck with these bulbs, particularly OttLite bulbs. My lamp is model GX7825, 120V 60Hz 13W.
