I wanted a backpack for my camera, water etc for hiking and sightseeing in Europe but didn't want a full bulky "backpack" plus my two handbags. So I gave it a try and couldn't be happier. Compact and took up almost no space in my regular hand luggage. But when it opened and expanded, I had enough space for everything I wanted to take with me while sightseeing and hiking. Very light so it adds minimal weight other than what you put inside. Not a lot of support structure, but once you learn how to pack it on your back like a jacket or softer items, it's very comfortable and got the job done perfectly. Highly recommended for a basic backpacking need. Not for serious overnight tourists in my opinion, only during the day. Worked great when I was at the beach and needed a bag to carry my towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, book etc.
