Always buy a spare for exterior accessories
I ended up using a box on the front of my trailer to connect my pigtail and then a box on the back for all my light connections. They worked great for adding extra lights or accessories later without having to cut and use horrible t-shirts. It's definitely worth the money to use a junction box and keep your wiring intact.
