Review on ๐Ÿ  Aqara Smart Hub M2: Ultimate Smart Home Bridge with Alarm System & Remote Control [Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, IFTTT Compatible] by Paulo Heisler

Works as it should. - Electric

I did not use WiFi connection. I prefer a wired connection. Connecting the device to Apple HomeKit was easy. A bit of a disappointment comes with the HomeKit integration, though: this device seems to be all about security. Unlike the Philips Hue Bridge, you won't find your hub. And when you remove HomeKit's security system, all the sensors disappear. This is bad integration. Also, temperature sensors added to the hub will appear in the same room as the hub. Be sure to name your sensor after the room if you want to know where it is installed. Conclusion: the hub does its job, but very poor integration with Apple HomeKit. No room sync between Aqara Home App and Apple Home. Appendix. The Aqara Home app seems to have fewer features compared to the Xiaomi app which should be compatible. There is no sensor battery status in Aqara Home App. You need to check it in the Apple Home app. Apple HomeKit integration requires a lot of effort. PS Sensors once added cannot be moved to another room. So I removed the hub from HomeKit and reconnected it in a room called Aqara (in the Home app). Maybe as you add sensors add one at a time and move the hub from room to room before adding the sensor and maybe the sensor will be plugged into the right room. Something to try if you have time.
