Mine says made in Mexico not Japan. After 5 months and 5000 miles I have the same code and need to change it again. It fits the 2013 Equinox 3.6L perfectly and solved my original problem: the car wouldn't start. Revain doesn't have a specific guarantee for this, but usually the guarantee expires after installation (they don't take it back). Maybe I have a lemon lol.
