I LOVE this concept and timers are the only thing it's good for. The biggest problem is that there is no permanent backlight option. If you work on a computer or in a dimly lit room like I do ALL day (I'm an editor/graphic designer/photographer, we work in a cave and go out to get food from time to time, or someone throws some food in and quickly leave our darkness ) you can neither see the time nor the countdown. Picky? Yes! But if you need to take a look at how much time you have left, it should be visible. I don't want to return it just yet as it's a hassle for us cave dwellers to return it, but I'll look for a similar smart product that shines all the time. To be honest I didn't think it was a problem until I started using it daily and realized how much time I spend reading it in low light. It's an amazing concept, but short-sighted - all puns - in the sense that it's not easy to spot. Until it is touched or the alarm clock rings. *sigh*
