I got this to allow my Cooper Janye to move freely in the back seat while still buckled in the car. I've always just pulled the harness through her harness, but she's learned to wriggle out of the harness, the harness, and even the collar if she's sane. Keep her leash attached to her belt and when I need to get her out of the car I just have to unhook her and voila she's ready to go. I would definitely recommend, if not this particular product, then something like this if you have animals (you read that right, animals, although my husband insists my made-up word is animals) that you often take with you in the car . Cooper liked it too, and I noticed an overall improvement in her attitude towards driving once she could really move in her seat.
